I have been saying this for a few years now.. I guess I'm kinda chicken (I might fall off) but it looks fun..I know a lady in her 70ties who rides one-like the vintage bikes here ..she lived in Florida for years an used to ride all the time down there...(:)

Look at those lovely vintage images. They look very romantic and lovely. Old bikes do have a certain charm about them.
ReplyDeleteI had a mini bike once a long time ago , its a mini motorcycle, it was fun until I broke all the toes on my right foot riding the darn thing.But these older bikes look so sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad once found (OK I am showing my age here don't laugh) a 3 wheel bike the kind with the huge front wheel, I was young then but I was allowed to go down to the end of the block and turn around still too young to cross the street.
I can't ride anymore somehow along the years I have lost my sense of balance no way could I ride again but sometimes I do envy those that do.

ReplyDeleteMy friend and I cleaned a house for a lady who had a new, pink 'vintage' one. So I hopped on and went around her yard. It was so fun, even tho' my backside was a little sore!

I love the pictures of the ladies with their bikes.I actually saw a three wheeled bike with a basket on the back at a tag sale I went to this weekend ...the only reason I didn't get it was because my husband thought it looked stupid . I thought it was cute ,I would have ridden it. I guess I should have ignored him & gotten it anyway.

ReplyDeleteIhave a super old one, and this summer I put duct tape all over the seat. Doesn't look to hot but it worked.
My Gram rode a three wheeled bike in her old age for exercise. I loved watching her ride it, and wish I had it now!

Make my bike a motorcycle. I can ride one of those much better. I feel too wobbly on a regular bike.
