AFTER this Mornings Fire I need what BRANDO has(:) LOL
Thanks so much on the sweet comments on my Secretary (:)
I love it too ~~
Thanks all my sweet blogger friends
On my music
and
the head below (:)
makes me feel so good..
Today I am working on redoing the kitchen
New maple counters..
7 am
I decided to cook up some eggs
and
put them into some tortilla wraps--for my son who was coming this morn to redo our kitchen..
that worked out just fine..
then I thought
I'll throw some brownies into the oven..
had them all mixed..
and noticed out of the corner of my eye
the oven had a bright light in it.
The element was on
fire..
SO I turned off the ovenI tossed some baking soda on it..
it wouldn't go out..
threw some water on it
no luck
then my husband came upstairs
and
I said
''look''
he got out the fire extinguisher
and
blew that messy powdery stuff in the oven
no luck
he
had about 2 inches thick in the bottom of the oven
and
all that yellow powdery stuff filled the
house
I threw open the doors for air and put a towel over my face
oh my goodness
it left such a powdery mess
on every surface and floor--
luckily
I ran and shut all the bedroom and bathroom doors..
as I fanned the squealing fire alarm ..
he finally ran down stairs
and
turned off the power
to the oven..
fire went out
it wasn't a big fire
just about an inch square
but it kept moving ''along'' on the element
I was afraid it would explode or something
all I wanted
was the fire department to come
(Still in my night gown)
and have my name and picture in the
News Paper _Crazy Lady with dirty oven fire(:)
so then I cleaned all the mess up
the wet vac worked well
and
meanwhile he talked with someone
and they said toss that oven
if it didn't stop burning
after
you turned off the oven you need a new one
ok (:)
then hubby took out the dish washer
and decided we need a new one of those too..
Everytime
you go to redo a room or house seems to go this way ..
one new thing spread to all kinds of new things (:) LOL
I am tossing out old stuff in my cupboards
and
cleaning them ..
will paint some kilz(sealer paint) under my kitchen sink
before
the new sink goes in...
I'll be back in a day or two with some pics of it (:) can't wait~~
Have a good one~~
Holy Smokes!!!!

She was shaken but ok.
