PLEASE Call ME Crazy

Oh my goodness what a day..
I was out in the garden this morning
 starting to hoe up weeds
and
I saw a Quail fly up to the fence top out of my garden~
 Then about 6 little tiny- itsy bitsy- white furry baby quails
were
 moving around on the ground in the far corner of my garden..
I quietly walked back into the house to grab my camera
and
 when I came back the mommy was sitting on all of them
--protecting them and keeping them warm..
the father was up on the fence guarding them..
I left them alone..
not wanting to disturb the little sweeties..
then awhile later
I tip toed out to peek
 and
there were several Starlings
 lurking around
(they are known to eat little birds)
 SO I looked up on the web how to get rid of the Starlings
(with cherry orchards I know alittle (:)))
Starlings are a eral pest ~

well..
the best solution I found was HAWK sounds..
so I recorded several didfferent kinds of HAWKs- an each of their sounds.............
Took my little recorder outside
 and
 hid under the trees and played it..
the Starlings have moved away for now..
but the web said to do it afew times aday..
This morning I was trying to squirt them with my hoses squirt gun..
WATER FULL BLAST
they were so high in the tree it rarely hit them darn it ~!!
but they moved back alittle..
OK that's my days dilema..
and am going to keep a close watch on those
sweet babies(:)
