I finally received the bill for the ankle surgery etc..
and it came to $11,000 ~!!
OH my that was really a big bill..we owe after insurance about $5,000..

The kicker here is the 10 screws were $3,000 and the one metal plate they put in was $1,600..
I just can't believe those screws and plate could cost that much-- my goodness
I would have ran to the hardware store myself and got some for the doctor to use..
I know they were titanium but GEEZE ~!!
Does anyone else have a outrageous Hospital bill story ?

Ouchie...those were sure expensive do-dads....but what's a body to do? I'm knocking on wood when I say I never had a huge bill and hope I never do.
