WORK WORK WORK (:)
I was listening to a program last night on the study of the sin called'' sloth'' very interesting.. you probably know all about it....the word in this context actually means depression..but at one time was classified as being melancholy, lazy, sad, etc...spirit~....so to take it to the ultimate sin would be suicide..
Being sad , lazy ,in discontent was against the teachings of God.. so work and ambition are the way we should be, but then it said God said be like the birds and relax let God take care of you ..~~
The show was on the History channel went back as as far as they could and discussed how this has changed over the centuries..
SO the reason this sin is the ''ultimate worst'' is because IF we as unique individuals break the plan God has for us on earth by suicide we have wronged him~
Any input on this ??

Well I'll be durned...my husband was watching this ( I was blogging) and he was talking about it outloud (I wasn't listening) and so I just reminded him and asked his opinion (he wasn't listening) I asked him again (he can't remember watching it!) So I'm getting us on a waiting list for an assisted living home LOL! Sounds like we need it!
ReplyDeleteI think...suicide is a sin. But I think as with other sins...we can't be constantly asking forgiveness and thats where grace comes in :) Is that your question?

ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a deep show you watched. I've watched the history channel before and some things seemed good and others went against my faith. ~I'm not sure about what you saw other than I believe suicide is sin, and I have read of slothfulness in the bible.
