My husband and I had this same exact delima a few years back when a young male cat showed up at our front door one evening. Already having 3 cats we tried our best to ignore his plaintiff cries. It was only when several days later we caught the neighborhood boys shooting it with a pellet gun that we decided to rescue him. My husband marched over and scolded the boys and then went to talk to their father. He notified the father that his boys had shot "His (my husband's) Cat" with a pellet gun. The father apologized profusely and reprimanded the boys and "Jackie" as we now call him, has been with us ever since and we love him to pieces. :)The Vintage Vignettehttp://www.thevintagevignette.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
